Ah, the foibles/joys of pattern recognition........ Pictures from the ground at Oval Beach (Saugatuck), Lake Michigan. But apparently, there is a face in the sand.



Hopefully in the future Facebook can fare better than the illusion of Cydonia.

UPDATE: April 9, 2014.

With the new pattern recognition algorithm DeepFace [1], perhaps Facebook faces will be more distinguishable from Facebook visual interesting patterns from now on.
