Stem Cell School: an excellent resource

Here is an excellent web resource on stem cell biology and cellular reprogramming: Stem Cell School. It is a joint initiative between the Genetics Policy Institute, the Stem Cell Network, and Radiant 3-D to encourage public education about this emerging and often misunderstood field of biology. Besides a very useful glossary of terms and a repository of papers and tutorials, the site also provides a wealth of pictures and animations. The following two animations show the reprogramming process during the creation of induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs):

Animation #1: Respecification of mouse fibroblast phenotype to iPS cell phenotype.
